Kildare, Ireland
Four young musicians. One unstoppable rock band. Here's the story of The Frontmen.
Our Story
In mid-2025, four kids who didn't know each other happened to all attend the same Teen Spirit music event organised by Music Generation Kildare. They agreed to meet up, jam, and see if they had something.
They definitely had something. At that very first practice they wrote a song - "Rain" - which they perform at most gigs to this day. They immediately sounded good. They just clicked.
During a phone call confirming their first gig at the Naas Wild Food Festival, the question of the band's name came up - something they hadn't yet figured out. Billy glanced down at his Fender Frontman amp, and the band had a name.
Their performance at that first gig won them a lot of admirers, and offers of more gigs followed - including a last-minute addition to the lineup for Culture Night at The Moate Theatre.
They keep going from strength to strength, they keep getting better, and they keep getting busier.
The Lineup
Billy is one of those people who can just pick up an instrument and play it. He has perfect pitch and lives for music. He practises for five or six hours a day, and is also a talented songwriter.
His earliest and most abiding musical influence is The Beatles. But he has a broad and deep love of every genre.
On the rare occasions he finds time for something other than music, he enjoys writing, computer programming, and his pet rabbit.
When you meet Conor you'll realise he's quiet, polite, calm. But put a guitar in his hands and you'll realise he's a born shredder. His musical tastes are much heavier than you might imagine.
He practises diligently - two hours a day. And it shows. From his very first gig with The Frontmen, Conor could be relied on to nail the solos.
He's a fluent Irish speaker, and in addition to his rock star credentials he has also been known to turn his hand to acting.
Finn grew up surrounded by music and musical instruments. He first picked up the bass to play at a school performance when his brother was drumming. He's constantly looking to try new things on the bass and lives permanently on the edge of his comfort zone.
When he's not gigging or practising, Finn loves gaming, Lego, and drawing.
The house was full of music growing up - Evan couldn't have avoided it even if he wanted to. He started hitting drums as soon as he could hold drumsticks. His dad started teaching him to play around age 6 or 7.
He also knows his way around a guitar, and has been known to sing lead vocals while drumming. The band isn't called The Frontmen for no reason.
When he's not keeping the beat for The Frontmen, or practising his drumming, he loves sports - playing or watching. If Evan is being particularly quiet during practice, it's probably because he's watching Liverpool FC on his phone.
